Day 1 :

Nyakalengija Trailhead to Nyabitaba Hut

The trek begins at Nyakalengija Trailhead with registration, briefings, and introductions to the guide and support team. The trail climbs gradually through montane rainforest, crossing streams and wooden bridges while surrounded by giant moss-draped trees. Along the way, trekkers may spot colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and forest birds. The day ends at Nyabitaba Hut, where trekkers enjoy dinner and their first night in the park.

Day 2 :

Nyabitaba Hut to John Matte Hut

The hike continues through thick rainforest and bamboo zones, with steadily increasing elevation. Trekkers enjoy changing scenery and wildlife spotting along the way. John Matte Hut offers a scenic location for rest and acclimatization, providing a safe and comfortable overnight experience in the lower Rwenzori zones.

Day 3 :

John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut

Bujuku Hut to Kitandara Hut (High Camp)
