6 Days Tanzania Luxury Lodge Safari Package
Your safari begins when you arrive in Arusha or Moshi, where you will be welcomed by your guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive to the park offers a glimpse of rural Tanzania as you pass through local villages and the scenic Great Rift Valley.
Upon arrival, your guide will introduce you to the unique features of Tarangire, including its iconic baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which is a vital water source during the dry season, attracting large herds of elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. After checking in at your lodge or campsite, you’ll embark on your first game drive. The park’s landscape is dominated by the river, swamps, and savannahs, making it an ideal place for viewing wildlife in large numbers. Expect to spot elephant herds, giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras, while predators such as lions and leopards can often be spotted in the park’s more remote areas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue exploring the habitats of Tarangire. As the evening approaches, head to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous and biodiverse parks. The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes, including the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may stop to enjoy panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Upon arrival at Serengeti, you’ll enjoy a packed picnic lunch before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive. Serengeti is home to an immense variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo), cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous antelope species. If your safari coincides with the Great Migration, you might witness the incredible sight of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing the plains in search of fresh grazing. After a thrilling day of exploration, head back to your lodge or campsite for a peaceful dinner and overnight stay.
You’ll embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti, exploring the park’s diverse habitats, including the Seronera River area, where wildlife congregates around the water sources. The morning hours are often the best for predator sightings as lions, cheetahs, and leopards are most active during the cooler hours of the day. The Serengeti is also home to large herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, and if you're lucky, you may spot a cheetah on the hunt.
A picnic lunch will be provided in the park at a scenic spot, where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. In the afternoon, the safari continues as you explore more remote areas, such as kopjes (rocky outcrops) and riverbanks, which attract even more wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, and a host of bird species. As the day winds down, return to your lodge or camp for another night under the African sky, enjoying a hearty meal and recounting your day’s adventures.
After an early breakfast at the camp, we will begin our day with a thrilling morning game drive in some of the most incredible areas within the parks. This game drive will take us through diverse habitats, from open savannahs to lush forests, as we search for wildlife that roams these vast lands. Our safari guide will help spot and identify wildlife along the way, including iconic animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even predators like lions and leopards. The early hours are the best time for game drives, as animals are often more active during the cooler morning hours.
We will explore various parts of the park, keeping an eye out for both the famous Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — as well as other species like wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, and a wealth of birdlife that call the park home. The landscape is a stunning backdrop for our safari, with vast plains, rolling hills, and striking rocky outcrops, which provide the perfect environment for wildlife watching. Depending on the time of year, we may also have the rare opportunity to witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles travel across the Serengeti plains in search of fresh grazing.
During this exhilarating morning game drive, we may stop at specific scenic points to take in the view and capture some photos of the beautiful landscapes and wildlife. These moments allow us to appreciate the vastness of Tanzania’s natural beauty and to connect with the wild surroundings. As the sun rises higher in the sky, the animals tend to become more elusive, and it’s time for a well-deserved break.
Around midday, we will return to our camp for a delicious packed lunch. The camp provides a chance to relax, take a break, and enjoy a freshly prepared meal in the midst of nature. After lunch, there will be time to rest and reflect on the incredible sightings from the morning drive. Our team will ensure that everything is packed and prepared for the next leg of our journey, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transition from one park to the next.In the early afternoon, we will begin our journey toward Ngorongoro Crater,
After a delicious breakfast, we will depart from the campsite and begin our descent down the 600-meter high crater rim. The 20-minute drive down to the crater floor offers stunning panoramic views of the caldera and surrounding area. Once at the bottom, we will enter one of the world’s most unique and biologically diverse environments.
The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a remarkable variety of habitats, including grasslands, wetlands, forests, and salt pans. These diverse ecosystems support a vast array of animals, many of which reside here year-round. It’s a perfect place to spot the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos), often in close proximity to each other, as well as other fascinating species such as cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, and hyenas. In the evening, return to your accommodation near Lake Manyara for dinner and relaxation, reflecting on the diverse wildlife
On the final day of your safari, you’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for Arusha or Moshi. As you drive back, you’ll have time to reflect on the unforgettable experiences you’ve had and the stunning landscapes you’ve explored. You’ll arrive in either Arusha or Moshi in the afternoon, where your safari journey concludes.
