Day 1 :

Arrival in Moshi / Arusha

Upon arrival in Moshi or Arusha, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. You will receive a full pre-climb briefing covering the route, safety measures, and necessary preparations for the summit attempt. This day allows you to rest, acclimatize slightly, and gather any last-minute gear before the trek begins. Overnight at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha.

Day 2 :

Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut

After breakfast, you will drive to Marangu Gate to complete park formalities before starting your trek. The journey takes you through the lush rainforest of Kilimanjaro, ascending gradually to Mandara Hut (2,700m). Along the way, you may spot Colobus monkeys, exotic birds, and cascading waterfalls. The trek is approximately 4–5 hours, providing a gentle introduction to the climb. Overnight at Mandara Hut in dormitory-style accommodation.

Day 3 :

Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut

Today, you leave the forest behind and trek into the scenic moorland zone, where giant heathers and unique alpine plants dominate the landscape. You will reach Horombo Hut (3,720m) after about 6–7 hours of trekking over roughly 12 km. This day helps your body continue to acclimatize while offering stunning panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s peaks. Overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 4 :

Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

This day is dedicated to acclimatization to prevent altitude sickness. You can take an optional hike to Zebra Rocks or nearby trails, enjoying dramatic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The hike takes 2–3 hours, allowing you to adjust gradually to higher elevations. Overnight at Horombo Hut, preparing your body for the higher-altitude climb ahead.

Day 5 :

Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut

Trek across the alpine desert to Kibo Hut (4,700m), covering roughly 11 km in 5–6 hours. Rest during the day and prepare for the late-night summit attempt to reach Uhuru Peak for a magical Christmas Eve sunrise. Overnight at Kibo Hut.

Day 6 :

Summit Day – Uhuru Peak – Descent to Marangu Gate / Moshi

Start the summit trek around midnight from Kibo Hut, reaching Gilman’s Point (5,681m) and continuing to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise. After enjoying the summit, descend to Horombo Hut and then continue down to Marangu Gate, where you are transferred back to Moshi or Arusha for departure.
