Begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi. You’ll depart from your lodge before sunrise for a thrilling early morning game drive. You might also observe herds of elephants, buffaloes, and wildebeests as they begin their day, or witness the majestic lions basking in the early morning sun. The Masai Mara’s diverse landscapes, from its vast savannahs to dense acacia woodlands, create an ideal backdrop for your wildlife observations. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxing breakfast. Take some time to enjoy the lodge’s amenities, or perhaps visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about the rich culture of the Maasai people, who have lived in the region for centuries. This is an optional activity, but it's a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the traditions and customs of one of Kenya’s most famous ethnic groups.

In the afternoon, embark on another game drive to explore different parts of the Masai Mara Reserve. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move in search of food and water. The migration is often accompanied by dramatic scenes of predator-prey interactions, with lions and crocodiles on the lookout for easy targets during river crossings.

The day ends with a return to the lodge, where you can enjoy a well-deserved dinner, reflecting on the day's experiences. The Masai Mara offers incredible wildlife sightings,

your safari continues with another early morning game drive, further exploring the expansiveness of the Masai Mara. If you are visiting during the Great Migration (typically from July to October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings at the Mara River, where massive herds of wildebeests make their way through crocodile-infested waters. This is one of the most iconic wildlife spectacles in the world and an unforgettable experience for any safari-goer.

The afternoon is reserved for more game viewing, where you can visit new areas of the reserve, including the Mara River or the famous Oloololo Escarpment. you’ll leave the Masai Mara behind and head south to Lake Nakuru National Park, a 5-6 hour drive that takes you through more of Kenya’s stunning landscapes. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its flamingo population, especially during the dry season when the lake's shores are lined with vibrant pink flamingos. The park is also home to a variety of other bird species and is one of the best places in Kenya to spot rhinos, both black and white.

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, you’ll have lunch at a lodge or camp near the park, before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru’s game drives are typically less crowded than those in the Masai Mara, allowing for a more intimate safari experience. You’ll have the opportunity to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a variety of antelopes in the park's lush, green surroundings.

One of the main highlights of the park is its birdlife. In addition to the flamingos, Lake Nakuru is home to a variety of water birds and raptors. You may spot pelicans, herons, and even the endangered white-headed vulture. The park’s diversity of landscapes, including woodlands, grasslands, and the lake itself, provides a perfect habitat for birds and wildlife alike. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner, relax and reflect on your safari experiences.

On the final day of your safari, you will enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, giving you one last opportunity to experience the rich wildlife and birdlife before your departure. You may catch sight of the elusive leopard or witness more stunning scenes of rhinos and other animals in their natural habitats.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Depending on your travel schedule, you may be dropped off at your hotel or Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
