BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

 These Terms and Conditions apply to all tours booked with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, a family-owned adventure travel company based in Moshi, Tanzania. They define the legal agreement between you (the client) and Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris. By booking a tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

If you book a tour on behalf of multiple clients, including minors or individuals with disabilities, you agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of everyone named in the booking. By doing so, each person in the group also confirms their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. As the person who made the booking, you will act as the primary contact for all clients listed under the reservation.

1. DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENT

To confirm your reservation with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, you must pay a 30% deposit. This deposit allows us to secure your booking and begin the necessary arrangements and ground preparations. Once we receive your deposit, we will send you an invoice and detailed payment instructions.

You must pay the remaining balance in full no later than 21 days before your tour start date. If you book a tour within 21 days of the start date, we require full payment at the time of booking. Please ensure that you make all payments to Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris without including any bank charges or credit card transaction fees. You are responsible for paying any additional fees imposed by your bank, credit card provider, or other financial institutions. Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris will not cover, refund, or reimburse any third-party charges related to your payments.

2. BOOKING AGREEMENT

A booking is considered confirmed once Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris receives the required deposit from the client and sends written confirmation of the booking to the client. These Terms and Conditions apply at that point.

The client confirming the booking must be 18 years of age or older and agrees to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information as requested by Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris to finalize the booking.

For any bookings involving multiple clients listed under the same reservation, the client confirming the booking represents and guarantees to Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris that:

i) They have obtained all necessary consents and authority to make the booking on behalf of all other clients named in the booking and has communicated all required details to those clients to ensure they provide free and fully informed consent.

ii) The information provided regarding all clients is accurate and complete. Additionally, they have obtained all necessary permissions to share this information with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris to facilitate the booking process.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

A client may cancel their booking by notifying Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris. The applicable cancellation fees will be determined based on the date the cancellation request is received by Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris and are outlined below as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled tour:

(a) Cancellation received 35 days or more before the tour starts: No cancellation fees will be charged.

(b) Cancellation received 11–34 days before the tour starts: A 30% cancellation fee will be charged.

(c) Cancellation received 3–10 days before the tour starts: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged.

(d) Cancellation received within 48 hours before the tour starts: A 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

(e) Tailor-made tours: These may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, which will be communicated to the client at the time of booking.

4. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris does not provide travel insurance. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange their own coverage from their home country. This insurance must include protection for medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, and personal injury for the entire duration of the trip.

We strongly recommend that clients also include cancellation insurance in their coverage. This will help protect against financial loss due to unforeseen events such as trip cancellations, delays, or changes in travel plans.

Please note that the cost of the safari tour does not include any insurance. Clients must purchase separate insurance that is suitable for the activities involved in their trip, such as trekking, safaris, or mountaineering.

Comprehensive travel insurance safeguards against unexpected events like medical emergencies, trip interruptions, lost baggage, and travel delays. It ensures reimbursement for non-refundable costs like flights, accommodation, and tour fees.

Insurance should also cover lost or damaged belongings, providing support for essential replacements like clothing and medications. It should protect against theft of valuables such as electronics, passports, or documents.

Personal liability insurance is equally important, as it covers accidental damage or injury caused to others during your trip. Your policy must also include coverage for high-risk activities like mountain climbing and provide for medical evacuation from remote areas if necessary.

By securing the right insurance, clients can travel with peace of mind, knowing they are protected against financial and emotional strain from unexpected events while adventuring with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris.

5. PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris operates in a dynamic tourism environment where prices may fluctuate due to factors such as increased accommodation costs, transportation, fuel, taxes, or other third-party supplier costs. The published price for any tour product is subject to change before or after booking confirmation, up to 30 days before the scheduled departure. Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris reserves the right to impose surcharges for substantial increases in any of these costs, including changes in park fees, currency fluctuations, or government-imposed charges. If a surcharge is required, clients will be notified as soon as possible.

Upon receiving this notice, the affected clients have the option to:

(a) Cancel the tour booking without penalty; or

(b) Accept the new price.

Clients must inform Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris of their decision within 14 days of receiving the notification; otherwise, they will be deemed to have accepted the price change and are responsible for paying the increase. Boy Tanzania Safaris may offer special reduced pricing for selected tours. This pricing applies only to new bookings, and bookings that have already been confirmed.

6. CANCELLATION OF TOUR BY THE CLIENT

If a client is unable to proceed with their tour due to unforeseen circumstances, circumstances, they may transfer their booking to another person who meets the necessary conditions, provided they notify Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris at least 14 days before the tour departure. Both the original client and the transferee will be jointly responsible for paying the tour price and any additional costs related to the transfer. For private tours, Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris allows clients to postpone their tour to a later date, but the client must pay any applicable cancellation fees and cover any extra costs that may arise, such as increased accommodation, transportation, fuel, park fees, or government-imposed taxes until the rescheduled tour takes place.

7. AMENDMENTS

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris website, and these amendments will become effective 10 days after they are made available online. Clients will always have access to the most current version of the Terms and Conditions on the Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris website, or they may request a copy directly from us by writing.

Any amendments to the Terms and Conditions will be deemed accepted by the client 10 days after the updated terms are posted on the website. We strongly encourage all clients to review the Terms and Conditions before their trip to ensure they are aware of the most up-to-date information, as these updates may impact the terms of their booking or the services provided.
