14-Day Zambezi and Luangwa Valleys
Arrive at Lusaka, where you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, relax after your journey or enjoy a short city orientation. Overnight stay in Lusaka as you prepare for your Zambian wilderness adventure.
After breakfast, transfer by light aircraft or road to South Luangwa National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, and possibly lions as the sun sets over the Luangwa Valley. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.
Spend the day exploring South Luangwa with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is famous for its high density of leopards, as well as large herds of buffalo and elephants. Enjoy scenic views along the Luangwa River, where hippos and crocodiles gather. Return to camp for relaxation and overnight stay.
Today focuses on a guided walking safari, one of South Luangwa’s signature experiences. Accompanied by an expert ranger, explore the bush on foot, learning about animal tracks, plants, and birdlife. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
