Enjoy sunrise and sunset safaris as you search for iconic African wildlife including giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. A boat ride on Lake Ihema offers a close encounter with hippos and aquatic birds, adding to the unique safari experience.

Day 1 :

Arrival & Kigali City Tour

Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. Begin your exploration with a Kigali city tour, visiting iconic sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the vibrant local markets, and cultural/art centers that showcase Rwanda’s heritage. Day 2 :

Transfer to Akagera National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, drive east to Akagera National Park, a stunning landscape of rolling hills, open plains, and beautiful lakes. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, then head out for an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and predators such as lions and leopards. Day 3 :

Morning Game Drive – Lake Ihema Boat Ride – Return to Kigali

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive to increase your chances of spotting the Big Five and other wildlife when they are most active. After the drive, enjoy breakfast and then embark on a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, and an abundance of water birds.
