OVERVIEW

These Terms and Conditions apply to any tours booked with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, a local family-owned adventure travel company based in Moshi, Tanzania. These Terms & Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris and yourself. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as by booking any tour with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you have confirmed a booking to jungle boy Tanzania safaris with more than one client named and booked on such a booking, you shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all clients named in the booking (including minors and those with a disability) and therefore all clients in that group indicate their acceptance and agreement to these Terms and Conditions. The client who confirmed the booking is considered to be the selected contact person for all other clients named in that booking.

1. DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENT

When booking a tour with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, a 30% deposit is required to confirm your reservation and initiate the necessary arrangements and ground preparations. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an invoice along with detailed payment instructions.

The remaining balance for the tour must be paid in full no later than 21 days before the tour start date. For bookings made within 21 days of the tour start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

All payments to Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris must be made free of any bank charges or credit card transaction fees. Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris is not liable for additional charges imposed by banks, credit card companies, or other financial institutions. These fees, if any, are the client’s responsibility. Additionally, Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris cannot refund or reimburse any fees charged by third parties in connection with payments for Jungleboy Tanzania safaris

2. BOOKING AGREEMENT

A booking is considered confirmed, and these Terms and Conditions apply once Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris has received the required deposit from the client and the client has received written confirmation of the booking from Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris.

The client confirming the booking must be 18 years of age or older and agrees to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information as requested by Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris to finalize the booking.

For any bookings involving multiple clients listed under the same reservation, the client confirming the booking represents and guarantees to Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris that:

      (i) They have obtained all necessary consents and authority to make the booking on behalf of all other clients named in the booking and has                     communicated all required details to those clients to ensure they provide free and fully informed consent.

      (ii) The information provided regarding all clients is accurate and complete. Additionally, they have obtained all necessary permissions to share                 this information with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris to facilitate the booking process.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

A client may cancel their booking by notifying Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris. The applicable cancellation fees will be determined based on the date the cancellation request is received by Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris and are outlined below as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled tour:

         (a) Cancellation received 35 days or more before the tour starts: No cancellation fees will be charged.

         (b) Cancellation received 11–34 days before the tour starts: A 30% cancellation fee will be charged.

          (c) Cancellation received 3–10 days before the tour starts: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged.

          (d) Cancellation received within 48 hours before the tour starts: A 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

          (e) Tailor-made tours: These may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, which will be communicated to the client at the time of                                   booking.

4. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris does not provide travel insurance, so it is the client’s responsibility to secure their own insurance from their home country, covering medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, and personal injury for the duration of their trip. It’s recommended that clients extend their coverage to include cancellation insurance and protection against potential losses, damages, injuries, delays, or inconveniences during their trip. The cost of the safari tour does not include insurance, and clients must purchase separate insurance tailored to the activities involved, such as trekking or mountaineering. Travel insurance is crucial for safeguarding against unexpected events like medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, and delays, ensuring reimbursement for non-refundable costs like flights, accommodation, and tour fees. Insurance also covers lost or damaged belongings, providing financial support for essentials like clothing and medications, as well as protecting against theft of personal items such as electronics or documents. Personal liability coverage is also important, as it protects against accidental damage or harm caused to others during the trip. Clients should ensure that their insurance covers high-risk activities like safaris and mountain climbing and provides medical evacuation from remote areas if necessary. By securing comprehensive travel insurance, clients can enjoy their adventure with Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris, knowing they are protected against unexpected events that could otherwise cause financial or emotional strain.

5. PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris operates in a dynamic tourism environment where prices may fluctuate due to factors such as increased accommodation costs, transportation, fuel, taxes, or other third-party supplier costs. The published price for any tour product is subject to change before or after booking confirmation, up to 30 days before the scheduled departure. Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris reserves the right to impose surcharges for substantial increases in any of these costs, including changes in park fees, currency fluctuations, or government-imposed charges. If a surcharge is required, clients will be notified as soon as possible.

Upon receiving this notice, the affected clients have the option to:

       (a) Cancel the tour booking without penalty; or

       (b) Accept the new price.

Clients must inform Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris of their decision within 14 days of receiving the notification; otherwise, they will be deemed to have accepted the price change and are responsible for paying the increase. Boy Tanzania Safaris may offer special reduced pricing for selected tours. This pricing applies only to new bookings, and bookings that have already been confirmed.

6. CANCELLATION OF TOUR BY THE CLIENT

If a client is unable to proceed with their tour due to unforeseen circumstances, circumstances, they may transfer their booking to another person who meets the necessary conditions, provided they notify Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris at least 14 days before the tour departure. Both the original client and the transferee will be jointly responsible for paying the tour price and any additional costs related to the transfer. For private tours, Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris allows clients to postpone their tour to a later date, but the client must pay any applicable cancellation fees and cover any extra costs that may arise, such as increased accommodation, transportation, fuel, park fees, or government-imposed taxes until the rescheduled tour takes place.

7. AMENDMENTS

Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris website, and these amendments will become effective 10 days after they are made available online. Clients will always have access to the most current version of the Terms and Conditions on the Jungle Boy Tanzania Safaris website, or they may request a copy directly from us by writing.

Any amendments to the Terms and Conditions will be deemed accepted by the client 10 days after the updated terms are posted on the website. We strongly encourage all clients to review the Terms and Conditions before their trip to ensure they are aware of the most up-to-date information, as these updates may impact the terms of their booking or the services provided.
